Lance Reddick is an American actor born in Baltimore, Maryland. He starred in The Wire as Cedric Daniels. He also appeared in Oz as Detective Johnny Basil. Reddick has been cast in the fourth season of Lost. He studied at Eastman School of Music, Rochester, New York and Yale University. While trying to embark on a career as a singer and paying the bills with part time jobs, he injured his back, forcing him to quit. Thereafter, he changed direction, being accepted at Yale's graduate school for drama.
